Educational Qualifications info.:

Candidates should possess medical knowledge and experience in addition to an acknowledged MBBS degree from an approved institution. Candidates must have a strong background in both general surgery and medicine to be considered for an assistant surgeon position at MRB.

Age Limit:

59 years old should be the upper age restriction for members of the following communities: SCs, SC(A)s, STs, MBC & DNCs, BCs, and BCMs (including ex-servicemen). The age of the remaining applicants cannot be greater than 37. 47 years old should be the upper age limit for applicants who are members of other groups and have disabilities.

Pay Scale:

The TN MRB would pay the chosen nominees on a Level-22 pay scale between Rs. 56100 to Rs. 177500 per month.

Selection Method:

The candidates will be selected depending on how well they performed on the computer-based exam (CBT). However, to assess candidates’ qualifications, the board will put them through a Tamil communication test.
